Hello,this flash VFX is based on the League of legends flash, I tried to replicated it the most I could.
This is a breakdown on how I did the VFX for the flash on the VFX template scene post on which I will continue to update in the future.
The electric part is an emitter that takes place on the mesh and it updates it position on time so it stick to the character. There is also another emitter to leave some electric particles behind him if he moves for a short period of time,
On the other side, for the start and end VFX of the flash I used a Texture composed by 3 on separe channels: the red one is for the pillar of light, the green one is for the texture on the ground that scales in really fast and disappear and the blue one is for the star that hang in the hair. All of them in 1 single master material and I choose which one to use on the instances.
I just postes the VFX fot the end of the flash because the other one is just a simpler and shorter version.
Finally there is also a material parameter that works with the flash and every time the character flashes, the material is animated. I'm not good with blueprints so it could have some things wrong.
